Class Info
Algebra II builds on foundational algebra skills while preparing students for higher-level math, college coursework, and real-world problem solving. In this course, students strengthen their understanding of functions, equations, and mathematical reasoning while learning to think critically and communicate their thinking clearly.
Key topics include polynomial operations and factoring, quadratic and exponential functions, systems of equations, rational expressions, and introductory statistics. Students learn how to analyze patterns, model real-world situations, and use multiple strategies to solve complex problems. Technology and hands-on activities are incorporated to enhance visualization and deepen conceptual understanding.
This class emphasizes problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence-building. Students are encouraged to ask questions, take academic risks, and reflect on their learning. The goal is not only to master mathematical skills, but also to develop persistence, logical thinking, and a positive mindset toward mathematics.
